50 anni dopo l'alluvione il bosco degli Svizzeri genera ancora 'valore'

Iniziativa del Comitato Firenze 2016 a Palazzo Medici Riccardi. Al centro la storia degli 'angeli del bosco': dopo l'alluvione alcuni studenti svizzeri piantumarono 13 mila esemplari in un terreno del Mugello, per rallentare il deflusso delle acque nel bacino, ridurre la portata di piena e attenuare la forza erosiva delle acque. Oggi quel bosco, giunto a 'maturazione' potrà essere abbattuto per il 40% per poter costruire edifici scolatistici in legno antisismici. Nuova vita dunque per il grande progetto di solidarietà partito dalla Svizzera a supporto delle popolazioni toscane.
